PRO DEPLOYMENT TIPS

Engineered for 24/7 reliability.
Down to every single frame.

Commercial digital signage demands zero blackouts, automated restarts, and bulletproof offline playback. Here is how PixelSpot delivers enterprise resilience.

TIP 01 · ORIENTATION
Hardware & Canvas Rotation
Need vertical portrait displays for retail standees? Rotate 90°, 180°, or 270° directly from the cloud CMS without touching physical monitor menus or remotes.
TIP 02 · KIOSK LOCK
Auto-Launch on Boot
Set PixelSpot Player as the default home launcher on Android TV and Firestick. When power flickers or devices reboot, screens immediately return to your playlists without showing the OS desktop.
TIP 03 · ZERO BLACKOUT
Resilient Offline Cache
Media assets, canvas layouts, and ticker text are cached locally on native flash storage. If the venue Wi-Fi or broadband drops for hours, your screens continue playing without interruption.
TIP 04 · POWER SAVINGS
HDMI-CEC Sleep Scheduling
Save energy and prolong panel life. Configure operating hours in CMS: displays automatically put HDMI panels to sleep at closing time and wake them before opening.
TIP 05 · BANDWIDTH OPTIMIZATION
Smart Delta Asset Sync
Every media asset is verified via cryptographic SHA-256 hashes. When playlists update, players download only modified files — saving 4G/5G SIM data.
TIP 06 · NETWORK RESILIENCE
Pure Port 443 HTTPS & WSS
Zero incoming port forwarding required. Players establish outbound secure WebSockets over port 443, effortlessly traversing corporate proxy servers, enterprise firewalls, and NAT routers.
WHY DIRECT DOWNLOADS?

We are pre-store today — and that is fine.

Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and Chrome Web Store reviews take weeks. Rather than block customer rollouts, we distribute the exact same signed, production-ready APK builds via direct download. When store listings approve, your players roll over seamlessly without reconfiguration.

  • Code-signed (Authenticode / Android v2 signature)
  • Auto-update engine tracks STABLE release channels
  • Pin specific fleets to designated versions in CMS
  • Seamless one-click migration to official store channels

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear answers.
Down to the details.

Everything you need to know about setting up, sideloading, and managing PixelPlay displays.

We are currently in active review across Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and the Chrome Web Store. Until store approvals go live, every platform installs from a code-signed direct download on this page. The same release build that will eventually ship to app stores is what you download today, so there is zero functional difference. Once approved, your devices transition automatically.
You need to allow installs from unknown sources for the file manager or browser you are using. On Firestick: go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Apps from Unknown Sources → Turn ON. On Android TV: go to Settings → Security & Restrictions → Unknown sources and toggle enable for the downloader or browser app.
Every player generates a unique 6-digit pairing code upon first boot. In your CMS, navigate to Screens → Pair new screen, type the code, and the player binds to your tenant account immediately. Pairing codes automatically expire after 10 minutes to protect public displays from unauthorized pairing attempts.
Yes! Android TV, Amazon Firestick, Raspberry Pi, Windows, and Linux players cache the active playlist and all media files locally onto flash storage and continue uninterrupted playback during outages. Browser and Chromecast modes require an active connection since they run in memory.
Native players (Android TV, Firestick, Electron, Pi) query our release manifest server every 15 minutes. When a new STABLE release is published, the player downloads the binary in the background and silently applies the update during the next scheduled idle window or content changeover. Fleet operators can also pin screens to specific versions inside CMS Releases.
Yes. On Android TV and Firestick, PixelSpot Player can be configured as the default device launcher, ensuring power reboots boot straight into signage without displaying home screens or icons. On Raspberry Pi, the prebuilt disk image boots directly into borderless kiosk. On Windows and Linux, check "Launch on startup" and "Hide cursor when idle" in Player Settings.
Verify that your local network allows outbound HTTPS/WSS connections to api.pixelspot.in on port 443. The two most common causes of disconnects are captive portal Wi-Fi login screens requiring browser authentication, and device clocks drifting by more than 5 minutes (enable automatic NTP network time in device settings). Full diagnostics are available under CMS → Screens → Diagnostics.
