A P10 LED screen is read from 10 m and well beyond, at up to 4,500 nits with IP65 at the front and IP54 at the rear. It has no list price: each P10 wall is quoted after a site survey, because the unipole, gantry or rooftop frame, the power run and the permissions are part of the job.

P10 is an outdoor hoarding module: IP65 at the front, IP54 at the rear, up to 4,500 nits, made for a highway hoarding, a stadium perimeter or a building top that people read from 10 m and further. It is not a cheap way to get a showroom or hall screen, and the sections below explain where the 10 m rule puts it. A P10 quotation includes the modules, receiving cards, controller, power supplies, steel frame, cabling, installation by our own crew, PxlOS cloud CMS, 5 per cent spare modules and the 2-year pixel-to-pixel onsite warranty. P10 outdoor LED display sizes and resolution

A 20 x 10 ft P10 wall is 609 x 304 pixels: no more pixels across than a 12 x 8 ft P6, on about twice the surface. That is why P10 only makes sense at hoarding scale and from a long way off. Every size is priced after the free site survey, + GST, with the structure quoted as its own line.

The simplest P10 quote is a plain wall-mounted or fascia install with a Huidu controller, which is the normal build for a display fixed to a parapet, a boundary wall or an existing hoarding frame. The quote rises when the wall needs front-service die-cast cabinets (a building top or a gantry with no walkway behind it), or a NovaStar-based sending and receiving system for a display that carries paid advertising and needs remote monitoring. Three items sit outside the screen price on nearly every P10 project and are quoted as separate lines after the free survey: the freestanding unipole, gantry or rooftop structure with its foundation, the mains supply run from the nearest metered point, and the permission drawings that a landlord, a highway authority or the BBMP asks for on a roadside hoarding. On a large hoarding the structure can cost as much as the screen, so ask for both lines before comparing anyone's price.

The 8x4 and 10x6 ft sizes are in the table because people search for them, not because we recommend a P10 wall that small. A P10 wall is built from 320 x 160 mm modules of 32 x 16 pixels, so real walls round to whole modules and cabinets and the pixel count of each size is stated module-exact on every PixelSpot quotation. Even the 12x8 ft wall has only 365 x 243 pixels, which is enough for a bold logo, a headline and a phone number read from the road, and not enough for a photograph or a paragraph. Most P10 walls we quote are larger than 12x8 ft, and each is priced for its site.

P10 LED display and LED screen price

A P10 LED display, a P10 LED screen and a P10 LED wall are three names for the same product: outdoor P10 modules, 10 mm between LED centres, built into one screen. The price does not change with the name. P10 is priced on request for your site, + GST, so a P10 LED display or LED screen is quoted the same way as a wall: from the size, the structure and the mounting. The configurator gives a figure for your size, and the LED wall price in Bangalore page lists the pitches that carry a per-sq-ft rate.

P10 outdoor LED display specification

Two lines on that sheet tell you whether a "P10" quote from anyone is the same product as ours. The first is the module: 32 x 16 pixels on a 320 x 160 mm board. The same board carries P8 at 40 x 20, P5 at 64 x 32 and P4 at 80 x 40, so the module resolution cannot be fudged; a P6 on the same board is about 53 x 27, so a board with more than 32 x 16 pixels is not P10. The second is the scan rate. At 1/4 scan each LED is lit for a quarter of every cycle, the longest duty of any pitch we build, which is how a P10 module reaches up to 4,500 nits with a modest driver and holds a readable picture in the afternoon sun on an east-west road. That duty cycle also means a P10 wall draws real current at full brightness, so the mains run and the earthing are surveyed rather than guessed; the power consumption guide gives the typical outdoor draw per square metre and the circuit size.

P10 LED module vs a complete P10 LED wall

P10 modules, 320 x 160 mm boards of 32 x 16 pixels, sell for very little online, and that is where many P10 searches start. PixelSpot does not sell them loose. We build and install the complete P10 wall: outdoor cabinets, the unipole, gantry or rooftop frame quoted as its own line, power supplies, receiving cards, the controller, cabling, earthing, PxlOS and the 2-year pixel-to-pixel onsite warranty, all fitted by our own crew. On a hoarding the module is the smallest part of the cost and the least of the risk; the structure, the wind loading, the surge protection and the mains run are what keep a roadside screen standing and lit. Every wall we hand over comes with spare modules, so a damaged one is swapped on site.

Why a P10 wall is priced for your site

If you searched for the lowest LED wall price, the pitch is only part of the answer. Pixel density is (1,000 ÷ pitch)² per square metre, so a P10 module carries 10,000 pixels per square metre against 160,000 for an indoor P2.5 and 640,000 for a P1.2. Sixteen times fewer LEDs than P2.5 means sixteen times fewer driver ICs, a 1/4 scan instead of 1/32, and a module that is mostly board and housing rather than silicon. But the cabinet, frame, power supplies, controller and crew time are much the same whichever pitch goes in, and a P10 hoarding usually adds a unipole, gantry or rooftop structure, a mains run and permissions, so PixelSpot prices P10 for each site on request rather than from a per sq ft list.

The same arithmetic is why a coarse pitch is not a cheap project. A P10 wall is bought by the square metre of road frontage it has to cover, and a hoarding that is read from across a multi-lane road or from the top tier of a stand has to be large to be read at all. A small P10 wall is simply not useful, because 365 x 243 pixels on 12x8 ft cannot draw a product photograph, and from 10 m or closer the viewer sees dots. For a shopfront, a gate or a forecourt read from the pavement, the wall that works is outdoor P4 at about ₹5,100 per sq ft + GST, and the lowest outdoor rate we list is outdoor P6 at about ₹5,000 per sq ft + GST; for an indoor room the entry wall we build is P2.5 at about ₹6,150 per sq ft + GST. If the budget is for a single event rather than a permanent wall, renting from an event-AV company is cheaper than any purchase; we don't rent LED walls ourselves.

P10 outdoor LED screen in Bangalore: where it fits

P10 fits only where every viewer is far away: the far carriageway of a highway, the upper tier of a stand, the road below a rooftop. Ten metres is the minimum, about 20 m is where it looks right, and the wall has to be large for its letters to read at that range, so the classic P10 job is a big LED hoarding or a building-top facade. The price follows the free site survey: we stand where the drivers or spectators are, check the structure and the mains, and quote the wall with the structure as its own line. Any reader closer than 10 m moves the answer to P8 or P6.

The rule is simple: the minimum comfortable viewing distance in metres is about the pitch number, and the picture looks best from roughly twice that. For P10 that is 10 m minimum and about 20 m ideal, and there is no upper limit that matters; a P10 hoarding stays readable as far as its letters are large. Measure from where the nearest regular viewer stands or drives, not from the kerb directly beneath the screen, and count the road width, the setback and the height of the mount. Typical Bengaluru cases where P10 is the right answer:

• Highway hoarding on Hosur Road, Tumakuru Road past Nelamangala, or the airport road towards Devanahalli. Drivers read the screen from the far carriageway and the approach, well beyond 20 m, and the display is mounted high on a unipole or gantry. This is the classic P10 job: a large canvas, a short message, a rotation of advertisers on PxlOS. The LED hoarding page covers the structure and the permissions.
• Stadium perimeter and end-of-ground screens. A cricket ground, a kabaddi arena or a football pitch puts the nearest spectator 10 to 20 m from the perimeter board and the stands far beyond that. P10 in a low-profile perimeter cabinet shows sponsor boards and scores; a scoreboard read from the top tier is the same pitch on a taller frame.
• Building-top display on a commercial block in Whitefield, Marathahalli or Electronic City. Seen from the road below and the flyover opposite at 20 m and further, mounted on a rooftop frame with a walkway behind it. Front-service cabinets are priced in here when the roof edge allows no rear access.
• Factory gate or campus boundary in Peenya, Bommasandra or Jigani. A display on the compound wall, read by staff and visitors from the approach road at 10 m and beyond, showing shift notices, safety messages and the company name. A 12x8 ft P10, priced for the site, is the usual size.
• Bus stand, railway approach or metro station forecourt. Passengers read timings and announcements from across the concourse or the parking apron, 10 to 20 m away. Auto-dimming matters here because the screen runs from before dawn until the last service.
• Exhibition ground or fairground at Palace Grounds or BIEC, and a temple jatre ground in a district town. A crowd read from across the ground, at 20 m and beyond, needs a large screen with a bold picture rather than a fine one. For a single event, renting from an event-AV company is the cheaper route (we don't rent LED walls); a ground that hosts fairs through the year buys P10.
• Petrol pump canopy or toll plaza approach on the Outer Ring Road. Drivers slowing on the approach read a price board or a message from 10 m and further; the sign is short, bright and repeated, which is what P10 does best.

When to step finer, and why there is no coarser

Step finer to P8 when the nearest regular viewer is between 8 and 10 m, for example a hoarding on a narrower road or a boundary display read from the pavement opposite. It is also priced on request and gives 457 x 304 pixels on 12x8 ft instead of 365 x 243, so on a wall where the first reader is inside 10 m it is the better choice. Step to P6 at about ₹5,000 per sq ft + GST when people read from 6 m, which is a large facade above a wide pavement, and to P5 or P4 for any shopfront, gate or forecourt read from 4 to 5 m. P10 is the coarsest pitch PixelSpot builds. When a hoarding has to be read from further still, the answer is a bigger wall with larger letters, not a coarser module, priced for the site whatever the size.

P10 vs P8 and P6

These are the two pitches a P10 enquiry in Bengaluru ends up choosing between: P8, the next finer hoarding pitch, and P6, the finest of the three.

The reading of that table is that P8 draws a sharper picture than P10 on the same board. So P10 is chosen when the nearest viewer is genuinely 10 m or further, where the extra pixels of P8 buy nothing the eye can resolve; both are priced for your site, so ask for the two on the same quote. P6, at about ₹5,000 per sq ft + GST and ₹5,27,000 + GST for a 12x8 ft wall with a controller, earns its place when a facade is read from a pavement at 6 m rather than from a road at 20 m.

What a P10 wall from PixelSpot includes

The controller model is named on every quotation so it can be compared like for like.
• Receiving cards, power supplies and cabling sized for the wall, plus the mains connection point, earthing and surge protection agreed at the survey. A roadside hoarding is the most exposed installation we do, and the lightning and surge arrangements are checked before the wall is powered.
• PxlOS cloud CMS so the advertising rotation, the dimming schedule and the emergency message can all be changed from a phone without a visit to the site.
• 5 per cent spare modules handed over with the wall, and a module swap from ₹1,800 after the warranty.
• Our own crew. The team that assembles the wall installs it; nothing is subcontracted. The installation page describes a typical day on site.

Designing content for a P10 canvas

A P10 wall rewards restraint. On a 12x8 ft canvas of 365 x 243 pixels a headline, a logo and a phone number fill the frame; a paragraph turns into noise. Use a heavy sans-serif face, keep letters tall enough to read from the far side of the road, and hold high contrast, light text on a dark ground or the reverse, because a driver sees the screen for a few seconds at a time. Avoid thin rules, drop shadows and small script, which break up at this pitch. Full HD is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, so a Full HD advert supplied for a P10 wall is downscaled hard and its fine detail disappears; ask the advertiser for artwork built at the wall's real pixel size, which is stated on the quotation. Specify 3,840 Hz refresh if the hoarding will ever appear in a reel, a news clip or a stadium broadcast, because a 1,920 Hz panel is cheaper and flickers on camera. The auto-dimming schedule matters more on P10 than on any other pitch: full brightness of up to 4,500 nits into a dark road at night is a glare complaint, and PxlOS steps the brightness down after sunset.

How to get an exact P10 price

1. Measure the frontage you need to cover and the distance from the nearest regular viewer, whether that is the far carriageway, the front row of a stand or the road below a roof. If that distance is under 10 m, tell us; the answer may be P8 or P6. If the wall is indoors, the answer is not P10.
